He loves to talk about space and the solar system,aliens, stars and astronauts. For his birthday we bought him an inflatable solar system model, each of the 9 planets now hang from his ceiling and he loves to chat about each planets unique characteristics. So cute!

So when i saw these prints from illustrator Steve Thomas, they brought a smile to my face. I love the beautifully vintage inspired design and the tourism poster concept.

planets2and last but not least the dwarf planet pluto which has now been taken off the list with the other 8 planets as its considered to belong to another solar system- poor pluto!

Especially when i have the chance to get to know the parent or child. Its much easier to create something that will light up their eyes when you know what they love. Leanne and I have had the opportunity to share lots of our lives little quirks and we totally get eachothers style so when i was asked to make a name poster for her daughters i was thrilled! I just knew it would be girly, whimsical, beautiful and timeless…

This poster is a little bit different to my traditional name posters but i know it will fit right in witht he gorgeous playroom Leanne has planned for her kids. Here it is:

I was holding my breath when this one came off the printer because turquoise can be a hard shade to reproduce. It can turn out too green, or too grey, or too blue. But when this baby emerged it was perfect! I hope Tabitha and Alyssa enjoy it for many years to come!

More alphabets coming your way but this one is a little more grown up. Something a bit more ‘designy’ for the typography fans- a piece that will be right at home in the office or study, on your bookshelf or in the room of a discerning teen.

Alphabet Connect is available in a variety of colours and if you have a bruning desire for a particular shade, i’d be happy to oblige.

There are two colour versions so far and two more to come. Im thinking warm yellow and light grey for one set and im not sure what other combination for the fourth set… soft teal and burnt orange? Apple green and chocolate brown? What do you think?
